Sleep is a very important component of optimal health. Our bodies require a certain amount of quality sleep each night in order to replenish and to function optimally. Serious sleep deprivation can have profound consequences on our health – including disrupting the immune system.
As a general rule it is recommended that most people should get 8 hours sleep a night, but some need more and others less. We aim to find out what is best for each patient, educate them on ways to achieve an ultimate nights sleep and help those who are having sleeping issues overcome them.
It is important that all of our patients have a strong immune system and if not sleeping is going to effect that, then we need to be able to correct that problem if we are to return our patients to optimal health.
