Visa Lodgement
If you choose to make the application in person – there are Visa Centres in Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane and Perth. The location and operating times for these centres can be found on their website www.visaforchina.org We highly recommend that you book an appointment to lodge your visa application, as it can be busy at these centres. You can book appointments on the website. Visa offices usually close at 3:00 pm, but please check individual office timetables to confirm their hours.
The offices also close for Chinese Public Holidays that most of us may not be aware of, so be sure to check the website’s ‘Office Hours & Location’ page, to confirm the office is open on the day you want to go there. Also, be sure to check the location and parking nearby the centres, as most of them are in busy business areas where parking is scarce and will need to be paid for – so have some spare change with you.
